The national drink here (other than beer) is Pisco. A spirit crafted from grapes, brought to the country by the Spanish, perfected by the Peruvians. It has an interesting, not unpleasant flavour. A favourite cocktail is Pisco Sour, which if made right is delicious. The photo is of a brewery we were taken round… And subsequently allowed to sample the produce. We were given a bottle and invited to pour our own. The Americans around me politely took a small shots worth, unfortunately their embrassing cousins from across the pond filled up their glasses and shot it straight down…. What a great lot we are
But remember it is Peruvian not from Chile! So they tell me….
